It's already March! Can you believe it? Last month we sold 4 items. Which doesn't sound like a lot, but I am still incredibly grateful! My goal is to double that in March. March is also Social Work Month and what better way to show off my social work heart than by giving back to school that fiercely advocates for social justice.
For our fundraiser this month, I chose Open Door School's scholarship fund. We adore this preschool and really align with their values. Open Door School was founded in 1966 and "was designed to fill a need and offer kindergarten experiences to children of all races and economic levels." Read more about their history here. Open Door School places a huge significance on social-emotional wellbeing and uses a child-led approach. Their scholarship fund helps eliminate cost as a barrier for families without the ability to pay. With the state of many schools right now, because of things like book bans and don't say gay laws, schools like Open Door need our support. Our children deserve to grow up in a safe and nurturing environment like the one Open Door provides.
Not only will a portion of our Crafts for a Cause proceeds be donated to Open Door School this month, I'll also be donating some items to their upcoming silent auction!
The theme for the March product drop is school/teaching so I have lots of items for the teachers in your life. If you've been following my page you've seen a lot of the items I've been working on. They'll officially be released
Monday, March 4th at 7:30pm
(with a few extra items trickling in on Tuesday most likely). I'm a few days behind this month because I got COVID from working at the hospital (again). But I'm feeling better and I'm excited to share what I've been working on! I also still have lots of sale items available. I offer shipping anywhere in the US and free pickup in Charlotte, NC.
Thank you all for your support!
